OVMB, la filiale environnementale du groupe Eiffage Construction BeLux, associ\u00e9e aux innovateurs belges de C-biotech et C-ground, a mis au point une solution pionni\u00e8re en Europe pour extraire les \u201cpolluants \u00e9ternels tels que les PFAS.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Les PFAS constituent aujourd\u2019hui l\u2019un des plus grands d\u00e9fis en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9pollution des sols, en Belgique comme \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger<\/em>\u201d, d\u00e9clare <strong>Maarten Taelemans<\/strong>, administrateur d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9 d\u2019<strong>OVMB<\/strong>. \u201c<em>En unissant nos forces, nous explorons une alternative durable, \u00e9volutive et porteuse de perspectives pour de futurs projets.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Une innovation belge pour un probl\u00e8me mondial<\/h2>\n<p>Les <strong>PFAS<\/strong> sont pr\u00e9sents dans une multitude de produits industriels et de consommation (des emballages anti-adh\u00e9sifs aux mousses anti-feu) et leur extr\u00eame stabilit\u00e9 chimique fait qu\u2019ils ne se d\u00e9gradent pratiquement jamais. R\u00e9sultat ? Une solution co\u00fbteuse, partielle et loin d\u2019\u00eatre durable.<\/p>\n<h2>Le chanvre comme machine \u00e0 d\u00e9polluer<\/h2>\n<p>C\u2019est ici que l\u2019<strong>innovation belge<\/strong> entre en jeu. Dans une serre 100% contr\u00f4l\u00e9e, une \u00e9quipe teste un m\u00e9lange unique de <strong>chanvre industriel<\/strong> (non psychoactif) et d\u2019additifs de sol capables de capter et extraire les <strong>PFAS<\/strong> du terrain.<\/p>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son syst\u00e8me racinaire profond et \u00e0 sa croissance rapide, le chanvre absorbe les polluants tandis que les additifs favorisent leur mobilisation dans une biomasse qui peut ensuite \u00eatre \u00e9limin\u00e9e en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Ce projet d\u00e9montre comment l\u2019innovation et la collaboration peuvent conduire \u00e0 des solutions durables et concr\u00e8tes pour des probl\u00e9matiques environnementales complexes<\/em>\u201d, explique <strong>Herman Backaert<\/strong>, Innovation Manager chez <strong>C-ground<\/strong>. \u201c<em>La serre ferm\u00e9e nous permet de tester la d\u00e9pollution des PFAS de mani\u00e8re contr\u00f4l\u00e9e, s\u00fbre et acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Un ancrage local, une ambition globale<\/h2>\n<p>Ce qui rend cette initiative particuli\u00e8rement remarquable pour <strong>Forbes.be<\/strong> : il s\u2019agit d\u2019une premi\u00e8re europ\u00e9enne avec une forte implication locale.
