Voor de liefhebbers: Uber start deze zomer aan de Belgische Kust<\/a>. Dit is de aankondiging die deze week gedaan werd door het Amerikaanse platform voor het boeken van voertuigen met chauffeur. Het doel is om eerst de grote steden langs de kust te bedienen. Maar het bedrijf belooft zich de hele zomer uit te breiden naar andere kustplaatsen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In werkelijkheid is Uber<\/a> sinds 2020 al actief in Vlaanderen, maar richtte het zich eerst op grote steden zoals Leuven, Gent of Antwerpen. Het bedrijf heeft nu zijn aanbod aan de Kust versterkt om een gelijkwaardige mobiliteitsoplossing langs de gehele kustlijn te bieden. Hiervoor gaat zij samenwerken met lokale taxichauffeurs.<\/p>\n

Concreet is de applicatie nu beschikbaar in alle grote kuststeden zoals Blankenberge, Bredene, De Haan, Duinbergen, Heist-Aan-Zee, Het Zoute, Knokke, Lombardsijde, Mariakerke, Middelkerke, Oostende, Wenduine en Zeebrugge. Uber zal zich bovendien blijven uitbreiden naar andere kustplaatsen gedurende de hele zomer.<\/p>\n

De beschikbare diensten omvatten UberX (de meest gebruikte service), evenals Uber Van, Comfort en Green.<\/p>\n

Meer in het algemeen is het platform, zoals eerder vermeld, in het gehele land beschikbaar, met een bijzondere focus op de grote steden.
