Zo zijn de sc\u00e8nes voor het allereerst opgenomen met echte raceauto\u2019s, tegen de achtergrond van daadwerkelijke Formula 1-races. Toen ze begonnen met de opnames voor de film met Lewis Hamilton <\/i>(als producent en zijn teambaas Toto Wolff als adviseur nvdr) <i>was een van de eerste opmerkingen vanuit de racegemeenschap dat alle Formule 1-films er tot dan toe te traag uitzagen. Een regisseur als Joseph Kosinski, die veel waarde hecht aan realisme, hoefde dat maar \u00e9\u00e9n keer te horen om direct uit te zoeken hoe hij de F1-wagens in de film tegen echte snelheden kon laten racen en zo het gewenste effect bereiken. Uiteindelijk koos hij, samen met filmproducer Jerry Bruckheimer, voor Formule 2-auto\u2019s waarop een Formule 1-carrosserie werd gemonteerd. Deze wagens worden bestuurd door zowel acteurs als stuntcoureurs en rijden op aanzienlijk hogere snelheden dan ooit tevoren. Een noodzaak gezien sommige filmopnames tussen de echte Grand Prix races door in slechts acht \u00e0 negen minuten voltooid moesten worden. Enkele filmsc\u00e8nes werden opgenomen meteen na de offici\u00eble podiumceremonie van de Grand Prix van Abu Dhabi waardoor acteurs zoals Brad Pitt en Javier Bardem samen met echte coureurs als Charles Leclerc en George Russell op het podium stonden. Waarop de man aan de andere kant antwoordde: \u2018Dit is geen bar, maar een rekwisiet.\u2019 Echt ongelooflijk. <\/i><i>Mijn cameorol was trouwens puur fun. Toen we ontdekten dat er een sc\u00e8ne in de film zat met sponsors, stonden veel acteurs reeds in de coulissen. Ze vroegen me: \u2018Wil je niet meedoen, nu je er toch bent?\u2019 En natuurlijk zei ik ja! Wie zou de kans laten schieten om deel uit te maken van zo\u2019n groot filmisch evenement? Ik heb geen idee of ik uiteindelijk in de definitieve montage terechtkom of dat ik eruit geknipt word. Het was trouwens adembenemend om de regie van Joseph Kosinski te aanschouwen. Net als bij een Formule 1-team was alles op de set ongelooflijk kalm, beheerst en precies \u2013 het liep gewoon op rolletjes. De parallellen tussen filmproducties op hoog niveau en Formule 1 zijn fascinerend. En zelfs als je kijkt naar de fine watchmaking, zie je dezelfde overeenkomsten. Horlogemakers werken met dezelfde rust en stille precisie.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s2\">Technische precisie<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201c<i>F1 The Movie is een ambitieus project dat filmtechnische innovatie naar een hoger niveau tilt<\/i>,\u201d vertelt Grainger-Herr. \u201c<i>Om de actie op het racecircuit (waaronder dat van Spa-Francorchamps nvdr) op de meest authentieke wijze vast te leggen, moest de crew op maat gemaakte camerasystemen en innovatieve technologie\u00ebn ontwikkelen. Dat sluit perfect aan bij een huis als IWC Schaffhausen, want alles wat wij als horlogemaker doen, is diep geworteld in technische precisie. De razendsnelle wereld van de F1 en het fictieve APXGP-raceteam uit de film hebben ons ge\u00efnspireerd om een unieke collectie IWC<\/i><span class=\"s1\"><i> Pilot\u2019s Watches te cre\u00ebren<\/i>.\u201d Als sponsor stelde IWC een honderdtal echte Pilot\u2019s Watches horloges en enkele Ingenieur-modellen ter beschikking van de acteurs en de leden van het zogenoemde 11e raceteam APXGP-team uit de film waaronder \u00e9\u00e9n Ingenieur-model met groene wijzerplaat voor de pols van Brad Pitt. De Ingenieur-collectie, die oorspronkelijk in de jaren \u201850 werd gelanceerd en in de jaren 70 opnieuw werd ontworpen door G\u00e9rald Genta is ge\u00efnspireerd op de precisie en techniek die ook in de autosport centraal staan. \u201c<i>Natuurlijk zullen niet alle horloges in de uiteindelijke montage terechtkomen!<\/i>\u201d, vertelt Grainger-Herr. \u201c<i>Wij gaan als sponsor in gesprek met het productieteam, de regisseur, de rekwisietenmeester en de producenten over hoe bepaalde elementen worden uitgelicht of ge\u00efntegreerd. Uiteindelijk ligt de beslissing echter volledig bij de regisseur en het productieteam \u2013 het is hun artistieke visie. Bij het opstellen van het contract is niets gegarandeerd; alles blijft onderworpen aan de creatieve keuzes van de filmmakers. En dat is essentieel \u2013 het zorgt ervoor dat de regisseur niet beperkt wordt door de verplichting om een horloge hier of daar te plaatsen, alleen omdat wij erbij betrokken zijn.
