De Belgische studio, opgericht door art director en fotograaf Shevi Shenaj, profileert zich als een opkomende referentie binnen de high-end art direction en visuele identiteit. De studio wil niet de luidste stem zijn, maar wel een die blijft hangen. In het eerste jaar na de oprichting werkte de studio al samen met onder andere het Festival de Cannes, Purple Magazine, WWD en The Canvas NYC.<\/p>\n<p>De naam \u201cApproximatif\u201d weerspiegelt hoe de studio werkt: niet vanuit het idee dat alles perfect moet zijn, maar vanuit het geloof dat idee\u00ebn pas tot leven komen wanneer er ruimte is voor intu\u00eftie en experiment. Shevi wil dat beelden niet alleen functioneel zijn, maar ook een zekere eerlijkheid behouden. Na een Master in Public Relations aan het IHECS ontwikkelde hij een sterke interesse in hoe verhalen worden opgebouwd en hoe merken betekenis kunnen overbrengen. Zijn carri\u00e8re bracht hem vervolgens naar New York, waar hij bij creative agency Qulture meewerkte aan projecten voor wereldmerken als Prada Beauty, Marc Jacobs Fragrances, Jaguar, Hublot en Living Proof. Deze ervaring introduceerde hem in de veeleisende cultuur van de Amerikaanse luxe-industrie, waar precisie en conceptuele helderheid centraal staan.<\/p>\n<h2>Van agent naar eigen universum<\/h2>\n<p>Na zijn terugkeer naar Belgi\u00eb ging hij aan de slag als scout en agent bij IMM (International Model Management). Daar werkte hij samen met een brede groep creatieven: fotografen, stylisten, modellen\u2026 en zag hij van dichtbij hoe campagnes worden opgebouwd. Toch voelde hij een groeiende behoefte om niet langer enkel bij te dragen aan andermans visies, maar zijn eigen universum vorm te geven. Zo ontstond Studio Approximatif, een plek waar intu\u00eftie, emotie en verfijnde creativiteit samenkomen.<\/p>\n<p>In april 2025 presenteerde Shevi zijn eerste solotentoonstelling in New York: een reeks die identiteit, intimiteit en abstractie onderzoekt. De tentoonstelling bevestigde zijn wens om de kloof tussen commercieel werk en artistieke expressie te overbruggen. De stijl is herkenbaar: natuurlijke, sensori\u00eble atmosferen gecombineerd met een strakke, hedendaagse beeldtaal.
