Van <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebeacon.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Beacon<\/a> in Antwerpen tot het <a href=\"https:\/\/wintercircus.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wintercircus<\/a> in Gent: Vlaanderen bruist van ondernemingszin. Forbes bundelt het belangrijkste <strong>startupnieuws<\/strong> van de afgelopen maand in \u00e9\u00e9n overzicht.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Belgische start-ups all-in op AI<\/h2>\n<p>Twee derde van de <strong>Belgische start-ups<\/strong> die vandaag het licht zien, bouwen een <strong>AI-oplossing<\/strong>. Vorig jaar was dat nog de helft, en in 2024 nog minder dan een kwart. Dat blijkt uit de <a href=\"https:\/\/news.evokepr.be\/second-start-up-barometer-from-start-it-kbc-ai-changes-the-game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">startupbarometer<\/a> van startupaccelerator <a href=\"https:\/\/startit-x.com\/en\/accelerate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Start it @KBC<\/strong><\/a>. Dat is meteen ook een van de grootste seedrondes voor AI in Belgi\u00eb ooit. Vandaag bedraagt de mediaan aanvullende pensioenreserve van een bijna-gepensioneerde amper 10.000 euro. De Gentse security-eenhoorn neemt het Isra\u00eblisch-Amerikaanse <a href=\"https:\/\/www.root.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Root<\/strong><\/a> over voor een bedrag van boven de 50 miljoen dollar. Met deze overname richt <strong>Aikido<\/strong> zich op de beveiliging van <strong>opensourcecode<\/strong>. AI slaagt er vandaag in om in heel korte tijd kwetsbaarheden in opensourcesoftware te ontdekken en uit te buiten. Met <strong>Root<\/strong> kan <strong>Aikido<\/strong> AI-agenten inzetten om die kwetsbaarheden nog sneller op te lossen.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aikido.dev\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aikido.dev<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>AI-planner Timefold trekt met 13 miljoen dollar naar de VS<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/timefold.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Timefold<\/strong><\/a> haalt in een <em>Series A<\/em>-ronde 13 miljoen dollar op. Terwijl sommige start-ups nu facturen van duizenden euro\u2019s in de brievenbus krijgen, rijst steeds meer de vraag of een medewerker voor sommige taken toch niet goedkoper is. De reden: de grote AI-bedrijven wilden zoveel mogelijk marktaandeel winnen door gebruikers te lokken met goedkope abonnementen.
