Dit is een strategisch keerpunt voor Stellantis. De autobouwer ontstaan uit de<\/strong> fusie tussen PSA en Fiat Chrysler kondigt vandaag de benoeming van Antonio<\/strong> Filosa aan als CEO, waarmee een einde wordt gemaakt aan een zorgvuldig selectieproces<\/strong> onder toezicht van de Raad van Bestuur. Op 52-jarige leeftijd, met 25 jaar ervaring in<\/strong> de auto-industrie binnen de groep, zal hij officieel zijn functie opnemen op 23 juni 2025.<\/strong> Een belangrijke benoeming voor een groep waarvan de resultaten in Belgi\u00eb onlangs door de directie als “schandalig” werden bestempeld.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Momenteel COO voor de beide Amerika’s en Directeur van kwaliteit, Antonio Filosa<\/strong> is unaniem door de Raad van Bestuur aangewezen na een grondige evaluatie van interne en externe kandidaten, geleid door een commissie voorgezeten door John Elkann<\/strong>, uitvoerend voorzitter van Stellantis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Deze benoeming is gericht op een soepele overgang in een sector die in een ongekende verandering verkeerd: elektrificatie, digitalisering, regelgevende druk en industri\u00eble herstructurering. Filosa, die al verantwoordelijk was voor de transformatie van Stellantis in Latijns-Amerika en Noord-Amerika, belichaamt strategische continu\u00efteit gecombineerd met een diep begrip van lokale en mondiale uitdagingen.<\/p>\n

Een leiderschap gevormd op twee continenten<\/h2>\n

Onder zijn leiding is Fiat opnieuw nummer 1 geworden in Zuid-Amerika, terwijl de merken Jeep, Peugeot, Citro\u00ebn en Ram sterk zijn gegroeid. Hij stond onder andere aan de basis van de bouw van de Pernambuco-fabriek, die een strategisch centrum voor de groep werd. Als CEO van Jeep heeft Antonio Filosa<\/strong> de internationale aanwezigheid van het merk uitgebreid, vooral in Europa, waar de Jeep Avenger nog steeds de verkopen domineert.<\/p>\n

Benoemd tot COO voor de Amerika’s in december 2024, heeft hij zijn stempel al gedrukt door de voorraden te rationaliseren, managementteams te herstructureren en de relaties met dealers en leveranciers te versterken, terwijl hij ook leiding geeft aan de lancering van nieuwe modellen en aandrijflijnen.<\/p>\n

Unanieme erkenning<\/h2>\n

“Zijn leiderschap<\/em> is sterk, effectief en geworteld in de realiteit van de markten”, zei John Elkann<\/strong>, die zijn functie als uitvoerend voorzitter zal behouden. “In de afgelopen zes maanden heeft Antonio bewezen dat hij alle kwaliteiten heeft om Stellantis te leiden op een kritiek moment in zijn evolutie.” De steun kwam ook van Robert Peugeot<\/strong>, Vice-President van Stellantis<\/strong>, en Nicolas Dufourcq<\/strong>, CEO van Bpifrance<\/strong>, een belangrijke aandeelhouder van de groep. Allen prijzen een ervaren, pragmatische en visionaire leider, in staat om Stellantis te leiden in een industrie in volle herconfiguratie.<\/p>\n

Richting operationele excellentie<\/h2>\n

In zijn eerste bericht als aangewezen CEO benadrukte Anton Filosa<\/strong> het belang van menselijk kapitaal: “Ik ben altijd ge\u00efnspireerd geweest door het talent, de passie en de inzet van onze teams. Samen zullen we verder gaan met het schrijven van de geschiedenis van een groep rijk aan iconische merken en een eeuw aan innovatie.” Bij zijn aantreden zal hij het nieuwe managementteam onthullen, bedoeld om de volgende groeifase van de groep te belichamen, die zowel wendbaarder, duurzamer als klantgerichter is.<\/p>\n

Een nieuw hoofdstuk voor Stellantis, ook in Belgi\u00eb<\/h2>\n

Met deze benoeming zet Stellantis<\/strong> in op verlichte continu\u00efteit: een leider gevormd binnen de groep, die de industri\u00eble mechanismen beheerst, intercultureel leiderschap<\/em> toont en de wil heeft om te transformeren.<\/p>\n

Deze wens voor transformatie en operationele excellentie weerklinkt in Belgi\u00eb, waar Stellantis Belux<\/strong> ook een fase van markt herovering is begonnen. Laurent Barria<\/strong>, Managing Director van Stellantis Belux<\/strong>, erkende dit onlangs: “Stellantis<\/strong> sloot het jaar 2024 af met een marktaandeel van 13,5%. Laten we duidelijk zijn: het had meer dan 20% moeten zijn. Onze resultaten waren letterlijk schandelijk, vanwege problemen tijdens de verandering van het distributiemodel op onze markt.”<\/p>\n

De Belgische markt was inderdaad pionier voor de groep Stellantis<\/strong>, die een structurele verandering wilde doorvoeren door het agentschapsmodel te adoptieren in plaats van het traditionele concessiemodel. “Vanaf nu is de prijs van een voertuig vast, niet-onderhandelbaar en gelijk in het hele land, wat de klant bij voorbaat de beste prijs garandeert, zonder te hoeven onderhandelen”, legt Laurent Barria<\/strong> uit.<\/p>\n

De directeur van de Belgisch-Luxemburgse markt vervolgt: “Deze transformatie heeft grote logistieke en IT-uitdagingen veroorzaakt, vooral omdat de fabrikant nu rechtstreeks aan de klant factureert en zelf de voorraden beheert. De aanpassing aan het nieuwe systeem en een nettoprijsfilosofie is complex gebleken, wat leidde tot aanzienlijk verlies van marktaandeel.”<\/p>\n

Daarbovenop kwamen ook grote problemen met de PureTech benzinemotor waarvoor de fabrikant onlangs een compensatieplatform voor Europese klanten heeft opgericht.<\/p>\n

“Een agressief prijspolitiek”<\/h2>\n

Maar tegenwoordig toont Stellantis Belux<\/strong> zich enthousiast. “De verkopen zijn sinds september jongstleden weer in de lift”, meldt Laurent Barria<\/strong> tevreden.<\/p>\n

Dit enthousiasme begint zich de laatste weken te weerspiegelen in de registraties. “Wij voeren een agressieve prijspolitiek om de goede resultaten van de eerste maanden van dit jaar nog beter te maken,” bevestigde Laurent Delmotte<\/strong>, verkoopdirecteur voor zakelijke klanten bij Stellantis Belux<\/strong>. “In het segment van lichte bedrijfsvoertuigen (waar Opel, Citro\u00ebn, Peugeot en Fiat de groep vertegenwoordigen, red.), is Stellantis<\/strong> nummer \u00e9\u00e9n, met een groei van 35%. In de eerste vier maanden van het jaar heeft de groep ongeveer 4.000 voertuigen meer verkocht in de fleet (personenauto’s en lichte bedrijfswagens) in vergelijking met dezelfde periode vorig jaar.”<\/p>\n
